FOOD & DRINKS

You are welcome to bring your own food and own drinks (no coffee or tea).  There is an extra charge of $25 when you bring in your own food which will be payable the day of the party.  Alternatively, you may also have Kidz Etc. cater party platters from our party menu for your party.   Items must be ordered one week in advance with full payment made at the time of order.  There are no refunds or compensation on cancelled food orders.  You can find our party menu on our website.

 

Our coffee bar will also remain open during the party.  Should you choose to run a tab for your party, we offer all drinks from our regular menu at a 20% discount. This is also payable the day of the party.  Or, you may choose to have your guests purchase drinks on their own at our regular price.

 

Please note that we have a small fridge only.  It is available for you to store a small cake.  Please notify our staff for assistance.  We do not provide access to our kitchen or cofffee bar for preparation of food.  We also cannot store boxes, containers or excess items as we have limited space.  We would be happy to recycle or take out any of those items for disposal for you.

 

There is absolutely no food or drinks allowed in the play area.

 

Please also make sure you have all supplies you need for the party.  We do not provideany utensils or supplies for your party.  We can arrange for napkins, straws, cutlery or plates (etc.) for purchase ahead of time

 

DECORATIONS

Our standard decorations include:

  • Our balloon room will be filled up with helium balloons in our standard colour scheme (gold & white)
  • We put custom happy birthday signs up on our TV screens. We will try our best to match our signs to a particular theme you have for the party.
  • You may also choose to use our TV for pictures/slideshow. Please save your images on a USB stick in jpeg format and let any of our staff know.  We will try our best to acccommodate and requests or to match our signs to a particular theme you have for the party.

 

Other decorations are allowed, subject to the approval of Kidz Etc.  Pins, stapling, glue, duct tape or packing tape are not permitted on walls and all decorations must be taken down/cleaned-up after the event.  No glitter, pinatas or confetti please.  Please also bring with you all equipment (tape, scissors, strings) that you will need for the setting-up of your decorations.  We do have staff on site, but assistance may be limited.  We will administer a damage fee should any damages occur.

 

 

 

CANCELLATIONS & OTHER TERMS

  • Payment is due in full at the time of booking of all parties and are NON-REFUNDABLE
  • We accept Cash, Visa, MasterCard, or Interac Payments. Party Hosts will be asked to provide a credit card on file when booking a party in person at the café. Kidz Etc. Learn & Play Café reserves the right to charge the Host for fees incurred such as damages, excessive clean up and/or overtime fees.
  • The Party Host(s) is responsible for the conduct and behaviour of all their Party Guests and will be held liable should any damages to the property and/or equipment of Kidz Etc. occur.
  • The play area is designed for children up to 5 years of age. Older children may be permitted upon approval from Kidz Etc. – provided they follow our Play Safe Rules and use the play equipment in a proper and safe manner.
  • Party guests (children & adults) must follow our Terms of Use & Play Safe Rules.  All parent(s)/guardian(s) must also read, review and voluntarily agree to our Waiver, Media & Medical Release Authorization which can be completed upon arrival at the Check-In/Registration Kiosk.
  • Please start the clean-up and decoration take down 30 minutes prior to the end of your allotted clean up time.  This is to ensure you have sufficient time to clean up any party debris, garbage and to advise your guests to start making preparations to vacate the premises.
  •  A cost of $50 every 15 minute over the allotted clean up window will be charged to your account for any delays as we need the space for public enjoyment and / or begin setup of the next party scheduled.
  • While staff will assist in re-arranging the play area equipment for the next party, or guests, you should leave the Café and Seating area the way it was prepared for you when you arrived. Please be considerate of other guests and the next party.  A $50 clean up fee may be charged otherwise.
  • If you have booked for the earlier party time slot and there is no party immediately following, guests may stay to enjoy the Play Cafe but will be required to pay for admission.
  • We ask that all sick children are kept at home and reserve the right to turn families away if they show signs of severe illness like the flu, fever, rashes or vomitting. We understand that accidents may happen, especially during potty training time or when a child plays a little too hard. However, we will charge a clean-up fee for any incidents caused by any type of bodily fluids (vomits, diarrhea, blood, urine or fecal matter).
